Bruce Lawrence of IDEX Corp. has to look at the “big picture.” As group network manager for five international companies, Lawrence and his team are responsible for IT initiatives, including business processes and application integration.  When IDEX wanted to update intranet-based documents to reflect changing business processes, Lawrence discovered that their existing system could not accommodate those change — leaving employees feeling frustrated.

“Among my criteria was a product that would not require IT to do extensive backend development—and one that could roll out quickly,” Lawrence said.

Lawrence needed a product that would enable IDEX users to make changes easily and also would be scalable and deployable out of the box.  IDEX selected Workflow Director from BP Logix, Inc. (www.bplogix.com).

Lawrence shares more about his intranet initiative and the productivity gains achieved in an article published in the September/October 2009 issue of Intranets, published by Information Today, Inc. Coronado wanted to formalize the business processes and increase efficiency for Multi-Chem’s 700+ employees, many of whom were still submitting hand-written forms and documents. After evaluating features and costs of multiple products, Coronado and his team selected Workflow Director from BP Logix.
